Simon K Brown was born and raised in the Highlands but now lives in Edinburgh.  He's the recipient of a 2017 Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award, which he's using to work on his novel about an organisation in the afterlife that dispenses karma. Though primarily a novelist he does write the odd short story, one of which has appeared in 404 Ink.

He's read his work at spoken word events in Edinburgh and will appear at this year's Edinburgh International Book Festival as part of the Story Shop programme.

When he’s not writing he can be found working for the city libraries, where he occasionally has to sing at children, or mucking about with a sampler trying to make hip hop.
